Therapy for Women in Utah | Lionheart Counseling LLC

Finding the right therapist matters — and for many women, finding someone who will take their experience seriously, engage honestly with what they're carrying, and help them actually change something is harder than it should be.

‍ ‍

Lionheart Counseling LLC works with women throughout Utah who are ready to do something real about what's been holding them back — through in-person sessions in Murray and telehealth available statewide.

‍ ‍

What Brings Women to Lionheart Counseling

‍ ‍

Women come to therapy for a wide range of reasons, but some of the most common themes at Lionheart Counseling include:

‍ ‍

  • Patterns of self-sabotage that keep derailing relationships, careers, or personal goals

  • Anxiety that creates invisible limits on what feels possible or safe to want

  • Depression that shows up as numbness, disconnection, or going through the motions

  • Unhealed trauma — from childhood, relationships, or experiences that left a mark — that keeps showing up in the present

  • Deep negative beliefs about self-worth, lovability, or capability that feel completely true

  • People-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or consistently putting everyone else's needs first

  • Grief — over a loss, a relationship, a version of life that didn't go the way you hoped

  • The exhaustion of carrying too much for too long without enough real support

‍ ‍

These aren't small things. They deserve real attention — in a space where you feel genuinely heard and never judged.

‍ ‍

A Space That Takes You Seriously

‍ ‍

Therapy at Lionheart Counseling is warm, direct, and built around you actually changing — not just feeling validated for an hour and then going back to the same patterns. You'll be heard fully and engaged with honestly. When it's useful I'll offer perspective, notice patterns worth naming, and gently challenge you when I believe you're capable of more. Always from a place of genuine care and belief in what's possible for you.

‍ ‍

Using EMDR, IFS, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, we address what's keeping you stuck at the root — the past experiences, the internal patterns, the beliefs that have been running things from the background.

  • "Do yourself a favor and get to know this guy! I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) of 30 years. I’ve known a lot of therapists over the years, I would, and would not, recommend. I am SUPER picky about who I refer people to. Dax is one I highly recommend without reservation. He’s bright, soulful, grounded, compassionate, and passionate! He truly has a lion’s heart. And he has a great story that led him to where he is. He’s a good man doing good work in the world. He’ll take good care of you"

  • "I've counseled with Dax about several different interpersonal issues. He is very objective and always makes sure to think before he speaks. I would recommend Dax if you need someone who really listens to understand and isn't going to butt in or talk about himself. He has a genuine heart for people and wants to them succeed. If you're ready to dig in and move forward in your life and relationships, Dax is definitely someone you want on your team."
